Basic Policy

The EXEDY Group aims to be a company that powerfully creates joy for its customers, society, and its employees through the development and manufacture of products based on technologies that efficiently transmit power, thereby contributing to the development of a sustainable society.
To achieve this goal, we have positioned global environmental conservation as one of our management priorities, and we will continue to make improvements to achieve our goals.

Action Policy

• 1. Strengthening compliance with laws and regulations
  •  ・In addition to complying with environmental laws and regulations stipulated by respective countries, we establish voluntary standards in an effort to prevent air, water, and land pollution and minimize our environmental impact.
• 2. Contribution to a decarbonized society and adaptation to climate change
  •  ・By deepening our core technologies that efficiently transmit power, we contribute to improving the energy efficiency of society.
  •  ・We aim to achieve zero greenhouse gas emissions in our operations by implementing technological innovations in our manufacturing technologies.
  •  ・We will adapt to climate change and become more resilient.

  •  ・We strive to reduce the environmental impact of our entire supply chain by developing new products and technologies that take life cycle into account.

EXEDY Environment Code of Conduct

We set forth the EXEDY Environmental Code of Conduct in order to conduct sustainable corporate activities for realization of our environmental policy in the future.

• 1. Pollution Prevention/ Compliance
  •  1) We will strive to control hazardous substances from leaving our premise.
    • (1) Atmosphere: Chemicals, toxic gases, offensive odors, smoke, dust etc.
    • (2) River, sewage system: Liquid waste, and oily water
    • (3) Ground: Chemical substances
    • (4) Surrounding area: Noise and vibrations, etc.
  •  2) We will select eligible outsourcing contractor to prevent illegal dumping.
  •  3) We deal with risks assuming emergency situations daily for minimal exposure by training and education.
  •  4) We will make an effort for comprehension of the legal requirements and notification in order to abide by environment law and regulations.
• 2. Decarbonized society / Climate change adaption
  •  1) We will develop, produce and provide more energy-efficient products for society.
  •  2) We will conduct production activities with facilities in saving energy and resources taken into consideration
  •  3) We will try to reduce more CO2 emissions through the most use of clean energy.
  •  4) We establish BCP to face critical damage from natural disasters.
• 3. Circular Economy / Saving Resource / Recycling
  •  1) We will utilize sustainable resources through efficient use of water, chose of raw material with low environmental impact, minimization of resources and waste in production, thorough recycling, productive logistics and so on.
• 4. Biodiversity protection and Ecosystem Preservation
  •  1) We will support and participate local nature preservation activities and cleanup campaign proactively.
• 5. Communication and Engagement with Stakeholders
  •  1) We will openly disclose environmental information and exchange necessary information closely to Stakeholders such as administration, local community, customers, vendors, investors, and employees.
  •  2) We will minimize environmental burden over whole supply-chains with the vendors through corporative activity to reduce emission CO2 gas, part material with less environmental burden and so on.
